The objective of this research is to identify existing evidence about the influence of expectations or sentiments on demand or supply in the tourism sector. A bibliometric analysis is carried out to achieve it, analyzing the existing literature in the Scopus platform. Relevant articles from Google Scholar, published in reliable magazines, are also considered to complement specific aspects of the research. In particular, we focus on the literature in which the terms "expectation*" or "sentiment*" and "touris*" and "supply or demand" figure over the title, abstract, or keywords. The analysis mainly focuses on the most relevant publications, identified throw their relevance according to citations and a historical point of view. We recognize the current status of these studies, the implemented methods, findings, and gaps. Also, considering the overall literature, networks, and clusters of co-authorship, co-creation, and co-occurrence of keywords are studied. General aspects such as the principal countries, centers, and journals are also identified. Thus, this research provides valuable information to those interested in exploring this field. Also, we summarize relevant data about the incidence of expectations or sentiments over demand or supply in the tourism sector, making it easier to understand some aspects of tourism demand and the adjustments that tourism supply companies need to implement to meet these demands. As far as we know, there are no previous works focused on analyzing tourism literature from this approach
